「なんとかConditional」と「仮定法」の関係

Book3でSecond conditionalというのが出てきました。ちょっと混乱して調べてみたんですが、この「なんとかConditional」と高校で習った「仮定法」の関係は次のようになります。

(0) Zero Conditional
(1) First Conditional
(2) Second Conditional ＝　仮定法過去
(3) Third Conditional  ＝　仮定法過去完了

(0)と(1)は仮定法ではありません。仮定法に対して、直接法と言うこともあるそうです。

DMEのテキストでは、(1)と(2)について、次のように解説されてます(0と3はまだ出てきてない)。

(1) First Conditional  - DME Book2 P71
We use the first conditional when we think it is possible that an action will happen in the future.

(2) Second Conditional  - DME Book3 P7
We use the second conditional when we imagine an action in the present or future but we think it will probably not happen.

(1)First Conditional は中学校で習った、if文を使った普通の表現。ありそうな未来についての表現です。

If it rains tomorrow, we will cancel the picnic.

「明日　雨が降ったら、ピクニックは中止にします」

(2)Second Conditionalは高校で習った仮定法過去。なさそうな未来or現在についての表現です。

If I had a lot of money, I would buy an island.
「たくさんお金があったら、島を買うんだけどなぁ」
